EMERGENCY ROOM MDS AND HOSPITALISTS

ER Director and Dr. Habigaile Cribe  Primary Hospitalist

Emergency Department Physician and Hospitalist services are contracted with Hospital Physician Partners. Hospital Physician Partners is a physician-led Medical Management company that helps bring partnerships between emergency medicine and hospitalist physicians and hospitals who might otherwise encouter difficulties in staffing these positions. Hospital Physician Partners helps hospitals manage their emergency departments and hospitalist programs for greater profitability, improved quality of care and higher levels of patient satisfaction.

Hospitalists are physicians whose practice is devoted to treating patients in a hospital setting. Because the hospital is the primary site of their practice they are usually able to spend more time with patients than would your regular physician making "rounds" of all of his patients on his lunch hour, or on his way home after office hours. The hospitalist communicates with your primary care physician, but handles your care during time spent as an inpatient at the hospital.

Emergency Physicians are available around-the-clock, seven days a week in the Dodge County Hospital Emergency Department. Hospitalists are also available and work in conjunction with the Emergency Department physicians in admitting patients requiring hospitalization after presenting in the ER.

SLEEP STUDIES

An estimated 18 million Americans suffer from the common sleep disorder called “obstructive sleep apnea” (OSA). This potentially life-threatening sleep disorder is as prevalent as diabetes and asthma, and yet 95 percent of people suffering from sleep apnea remain undiagnosed and untreated.

Fortunately, the knowledge and resources are available today to successfully diagnose and treat millions of patients suffering from a host of sleep disorders whose symptoms range from mild nuisances to life-threatening complications. By partnering with Sleep Services of America, Inc. At Dodge County Hospital, Sleep Study services are contracted with two sources who provide this service.
